Allen H Simon has conducted Soli Deo Gloria since 1991. He holds advanced degrees from Westminster Choir College and the University of Arizona, and has studied with Joseph Flummerfelt, Frauke Haasemann, Maurice Skones, and Helmuth Rilling. In addition to his work with SDG, he has taught voice, theory and conducting at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, coached high school students in Peninsula Teen Opera, and been a guest conductor for numerous choirs in the Bay Area. He is Chair of Web Services of ChoralNet, the world center for choral music on the Internet, and director of the San Andreas Singers, a vocal jazz ensemble. Dr. Simon has also worked extensively with the Ragazzi Boys Chorus.

What's your day job? Business Consulting with a communications software company (Avaya)
Any other singing gigs? I hadn't sung since arriving in California 10 years ago and working my way back into it now.
What do you do for fun? Fun? Do people still do that? Singing with SDG definitely falls into that category, I have just started yoga which may turn out to be fun when the pain stops, and my wife and I love to travel to
Name: Mary Ritter — Alto, sang with SDG since Spring 1991
What's your day job? I am a physician assistant in Pediatrics at the county hospital in San Jose. I run the child abuse clinic and see girl patients in the juvenile hall and children referred to the pediatric surgery clinic.
Any other singing gigs? I sing in the choir at St Mark's Lutheran SF
What do you do for fun? Travel, walk, and bicycle along the shoreline near my house, knit, play the piano. Mary writes all the acknowledgement letters to our donors and is a past board member. Thanks for all you do, Mary!
